Latino Conservation Week: Disfrutando y Conservando Nuestra Tierra is an initiative of . Latino Conservation Week was created to support the Latino community getting into the outdoors and participating in activities to protect our natural resources.
From September 13 to September 21, community, non-profit, faith-based, and government organizations and agencies will hold events throughout the country. From hiking and camping to community roundtables and film screenings, these activities promote conservation efforts in their community and provide an opportunity for Latinos to show their support for permanently protecting our land, water, and air.
Latino Conservation Week (LCW) events are inclusive of all communities but, in particular, events that break down barriers Latino communities face when it comes to outdoor recreation and/or conservation efforts. This means that LCW events might be free or low-cost to the public, consider transportation for attendees, be bilingual, or offer resources for communities to engage in opportunities outside of LCW.
Looking to host your own event? Latino Conservation Week offers a , which shares their priorities and principles, and offers resources for creating and marketing inclusive LCW events.

Never played loteria? That's okay! Dogwood Canyon ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Center can teach you. Learn Spanish bird names while playing non-monetary Bird Loteria!
It's a traditional Mexican board game of chance, similar to bingo, but played with a deck of cards instead of number balls. Players have their own loteria card that you match with the caller's deck of cards. When you complete the chosen shape, you win! Traditionally you do play for money, but here we will play for prizes! We will have prizes to choose from a prize box.
