About

Alexis has 15 years of experience working in coastal sciences and environmental management. She currently leads ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Texas's coastal program and manages a portfolio of bird rookery islands from Galveston Bay to the Lower Laguna Madre. Prior to joining ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in 2019, Alexis worked to restore the Gulf of Mexico from the BP Deepwater Horizon oil disaster as a scientist and program director at Ocean Conservancy. She holds a master’s degree in environmental management from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science degree in marine and freshwater biology from the University of Texas at Austin.
