About
Santiago Aparicio is the Senior Director of the Americas Flyways Initiative, a strategic conservation alliance of ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, BirdLife International, and CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean. He is an environmental policy expert with over 15 years of experience across government, the private sector, international donors, and NGOs, specializing in designing and delivering innovative solutions to climate and biodiversity challenges.
He holds a degree in Government and International Relations, is an Acumen Fellowship Fellow, and was awarded a Chevening Scholarship to pursue a Master’s in Applied Imagination at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
Previously, he served as Director of Environment and Sustainable Development at Colombia’s National Planning Department and has advised organizations including the United Nations Development Programme and the World Resources Institute. He is a board member of the Environmental Business Corporation (CAEM), an initiative of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, and co-founder of TERRAMARTE, a certified B Corp focused on reducing plastic pollution. He is also the author of The Visual ABC of Climate Change.
