Get ready for a summer to remember!  Join us for an exciting nature-based summer camp for children ages 6-12 at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. Each week features a different theme with fun, interactive, hands-on activities for campers to explore the natural wonders of the sanctuary. Campers will discover the ancient forest and animals in the sanctuary and along the boardwalk through activities that integrate science, arts and crafts, sports, water play, and more. 

Teen campers are invited to join our Wild Florida Adventure Counselor-in-Training Camp, where they will gain practical experience in helping with summer camp and have an opportunity to collect volunteer hours for high school. CIT campers will also learn valuable new skills in first aid, leadership, nature identification, and working with children.

Camps run from June 1 through July 17. Each of our camp weeks focuses on a different theme. Sign up for one week or more. The fee is $295/week. For the short weeks of June 15 and June 29, the fee is $236. Members enjoy discounted fees; scholarships and sibling discounts are also available.

Weeks 1 and 5 - Feathered Friends Week (Week of June 1 and June 29)

Take flight into the fascinating world of birds during “Feathered Friends Week” at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary! Campers will uncover the surprising secrets behind why birds sing at sunrise, migrate across incredible distances, and even peck on metal. Through games, experiments, and outdoor adventures, they’ll discover just how clever—and quirky—our feathered friends really are! No camp on July 3.

Weeks 2 and 6 - Masters of Disguise (Week of June 8 and July 6)

Get ready to sneak, hide, and blend-in during our week of “Masters of Disguise ” at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary! Campers will uncover the secrets animals use to stay hidden in plain sight through games, hands-on activities, and wild adventures on the boardwalk, all leading up to a creative camouflage play at the end of the week. From sneaky predators to masters of disguise, campers will learn how nature’s best hiders survive—and try out some camouflage tricks of their own!

Weeks 3 and 7 - Swamp Symphonies (Week of June 15 and July 13)

Tune in to nature’s greatest concert during “Swamp Symphonies” week at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary! Campers will explore the sights and sounds of the swamp, learning to identify wildlife by their songs, calls, and chatter. From croaking frogs to singing birds, they’ll discover what the creatures of Corkscrew are “saying” in their wild, musical world.  Campers will also have a chance to learn and make some music of their own! No camp on June 19.

Week 4 - There's a Fungus Among Us (Week of June 22)

Step into the mysterious world of mushrooms during “There’s a Fungus Among Us” week at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary! Campers will dig into the secrets of the swamp to discover how fungi recycle, connect, and even “talk” with trees. From spotting colorful mushrooms to exploring hidden underground networks, it’s a week full of weird, wild, and wonderfully slimy fun! Campers will also be invited back for a special night walk to explore the swamp's bioluminescent fungi!

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Before and After Care

Before care is available from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., and aftercare is available from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for an additional fee of $30/week.
